Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST)

The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) is now accepting abstracts for the 22nd Annual Scientific Assembly, scheduled for January 13-17, 2009 in Orlando, Florida. THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS MIDNIGHT, EDT, JULY 5, 2008. To begin the abstract submission process. This is your opportunity to present original research to an audience of prominent members of the trauma community.

The EAST Foundation will be sponsoring two paper competitions during the scientific sessions:

• The Raymond H. Alexander, MD Resident Paper Competition. This competition includes Physicians-In-Training who submit abstracts as the first-named author. The resident or fellow should not have completed his/her training prior to June 2009.
• The John M. Templeton, Jr. MD Injury Prevention Paper Competition. This competition is open to all EAST members who submit original scientific work focusing on an aspect of injury prevention.
