AATS 2009 Summer Intern Scholarship

The American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) has launched the online application site for the 2009 Summer Intern Scholarship. The Summer Intern Scholarship program was established in 2007 to introduce the field of cardiothoracic surgery to first and second year medical students in North American medical schools.  In the two years since its inception, the Summer Intern Scholarship has offered 100 medical students the opportunity to broaden their educational experience by providing scholarships to spend eight weeks during the summer working in an AATS member’s cardiothoracic surgery department.
