Dr. Turina interviews Dr. MillerThroughout his career, Craig Miller, MD, has received many honors including, the Antoine Marfan Award from the National Marfans Foundation and three awards from the American Heart Association: the Eugene Braunwald Mentorship Award, the Distinguished Scientist Award, and the Distinguished Achievement Award. From 2007 to 2008, Dr. Miller was the president of the American Association of Thoracic Surgery. He was also President of the Western Thoracic Surgical Association.

 

Dr. Miller is a Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at Stanford University, where he is also Director of the Cardiovascular Surgical Physiology Research Laboratories. His clinical focus is on aortic surgery, valve repair and replacement, and surgery for aortic dissection. In this video, Dr. Miller discusses valve sparing root replacement.
