Ad N. Debate: Ablate All Mitral Valve Patients in Atrial Fibrillation. December 2018. doi:10.25373/ctsnet.7449350.

Niv Ad of the West Virginia University Heart and Vascular Institute in Morgantown, USA, argues for surgical ablation for mitral valve surgery patients with atrial fibrillation. He discusses what it means for a patient to be "in atrial fibrillation," stresses that surgeons should be specifically trained in ablation techniques, and argues for cryoablation rather than ablation using combination energy.
