Welcome to the STS Annual Meeting on the Web. This is the first time that a major international meeting of cardiothoracic surgeons has been made available on the Internet.
The 34th Annual STS Meeting was held January 26-28, 1998 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Over the next few weeks, 28 presentations from the meeting will made available here on the STS Web site in multimedia format. The first two presentations to be displayed are the two invited lectureships: the J. Maxwell Chamberlain Memorial Paper by Dr. Paul Sergeant and the Ralph Alley Memorial Lecture by Dr. Vincent Gott.
At the meeting, the presentations were recorded and slides were scanned to a digital format. Under an educational grant from Heartport, Inc., Community of Science has integrated the audio and visual presentations so that you can now attend - at your leisure - any presentations that you have missed.
