Aortic valve pathology
  1. Aortic stenosis
  2. Aortic insufficiency

Aortic annulus
  1. Small or normal size for BSA
  2. > Normal for BSA

Ascending aorta
  1. Normal
  2. Aneurysmal
Pulmonary valve pathology
  1. Normal or minor fenestration
  2. Bicuspid or quadra-cuspid, multiple major fenestrations

Bacterial endocarditis
  1. Involves only aortic valve
  2. Extensive aortic valve and aortic annulus involvement
