OPCAB is less invasive, so we have recently been expanding the
application. We have performed OPCAB for 3 patients with cardiogenic
shock due to AMI.
Patients All patients were supported hemodynamically by
IABP prior to surgery.

Result We performed the revascularization of territories
for the LAD and RCA in these patients to improve the hemodynamic
state. In all patients, IABP was removed within 48 hours and
the postoperative course was uneventful. (Conclusion) It seems
that OPCAB is a useful and effective procedure even for a patient
with cardiogenic shock due to AMI.
