Video clips should be no longer than 10 minutes and must be accompanied by voice narration. Any specific patient information should be removed from the video. For example, the patient name should not show on any x-ray or film contained within the video.
Instructions for submitting video on tape:
- An original or first-generation copy of a high-quality video tape is essential
- Video should be NTSC, not PAL
- S-VHS format is preferred over, and gives much better results than VHS
- Recording must be done at slow speed (SP)
Instructions for submitting a digital video
- Use QuickTime file format (file extension .mov)
- The file must be submitted on media (CD, Jaz, or Zip) formatted for use on PC computers.
- The video file must have the correct file extension. If the file was created on a Macintosh computer be sure to add the .mov to QuickTime file names.
- A better quality web version of the video can be created if the video has not been compressed. If media size limitations require you to use video compression please use Cinepak.
