Anderson PE, Cook A, Amery AH. A review of the practice of fibreoptic dilatation of oesophageal stricture. Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England 1989 71(2):124-7.

This series of 82 patients shows that dilatation of benign strictures produces better results than in malignant strictures, although it is useful to facilitate biopsy.
