Venue
The Techno-College will be held in Halls 1 (Cardiac) and 2 (Thoracic) of the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL).

Delegate Profile

It is anticipated that 500 delegates will attend the event including heads of department, junior doctors, medical students, nurses and technicians.  All European countries will be represented and it is expected that a large number of delegates will attend from outside Europe.  The event is open to surgeons, members of EACTS and ESTS and to non-members.

Sponsorship packages include the cost of the booth space ONLY.  Should you wish to order shell scheme, carpeting, electrics or optional display aids, these must be ordered directly with the official contractors, Fairnet GmbH:

It is the responsibility of exhibitors to provide partition walls between themselves and their neighbour's booth(s). 

Value Added Tax (VAT)

The Organisers are obliged to charge Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing German rate (presently 16%).  Sponsoring organisations must inform the EACTS Executive Secretariat of their correct VAT number so that it can be quoted on all invoices and subsequently reclaimed by the company concerned.  The Organisers are not authorised to re-issue VAT invoices after the event.

Technical Specifications
Height

Maximum height for all booths is 2.5 metres

Floorloading

5 kN per m (exhibitors requiring a floor loading in excess of this amount should inform the Organisers)

Electrical Supply

Standard Single Phase = 230V/50 cycles; 3-Phase 400V/50 cycles; 24 hr supply - by arrangement
Water and Waste; Compressed Air; Oily/Dirty Exhibits
Available to a limited number of booths.  Exhibitors requirinig such services should contact the Organisers

Special/Hazardous displays

Special displays, such as lasers, or potentially dangerous exhibits involving substances of an explosive or objectionable nature (including X-ray machines) must be approved by the Organisers in writing and may incur additional charges.

Catering, Audio Visual Equipment/Services, Furniture
Supplementary booth services such as catering, audio-visual equipment and furniture can be ordered from the Leipzig Congress Center and their appointed suppliers.  For further information please contact the official contractor, Fairnet GmbH or the EACTS Executive Secretariat.

Signage
EACTS will produce all directional signage for the Techno-College.  Individual corporate signage, other than that contained within your booth/display area(s), will NOT be permitted.

EACTS Logo
Companies may not use either the EACTS or ESTS logo in invitations and promotional documents without having sought prior written permission from the EACTS Executive Secretariat.

Registration
Registration will be available on line via the EACTS and ESTS websites (www.eacts.org and www.ests.org) from 1 March 2004.  Registration fees as follows:

Cardiac Programme (08.00-17.30)

STS/AATS
The committee on New Technology collaborates closely with the Tech-Con Task Force of the STS and AATS as well as other leading authorities involved in the development of new devices for a revolutionized patient care.
