ESTS Course on TB and other lung diseases of Surgical Interest

It is our pleasure to announce the first ESTS Course on Tuberculosis and Surgical Lung Diseases jointly organised with WHO Collaborating Centres. Massive migration to Western Europe is expected to raise new challenges for health professionals in general, and for thoracic surgeons in particular. Prevalence of diseases such as tuberculosis, hydatidosis, bronchiectasis, has gradually decreased over the past 4 decades in Western Europe, and thoracic surgeons trained over the past 3 decades have had minimal exposure to such pathology. The aim is to prepare thoracic surgeons to major upcoming challenges arising from novel public health problems in relation with international events.
