da Vinci Cardiac Revascularization (dVCR) represents a continuum of minimally invasive surgical solutions for the treatment of coronary artery disease. In Single-Vessel Small Thoracotomy (SVST) and Multi-Vessel Small Thoracotomy (MVST), the da Vinci Surgical System provides the precise instrumentation needed for the expeditious harvesting of the IMA from origin to bifurcation. SVST and MVST are critical steps towards the performance of completely robotic - from IMA harvest to coronary anastomosis - cardiac revascularization. The precision, dexterity and superior visualization of the da Vinci Surgical System are essential to offering non-sternotomy benefits to patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • The dVCR continuum provides minimally invasive solutions to the major invasive factors in conventional coronary bypass surgery - namely, aortic manipulation, cardiopulmonary bypass, graft harvest and sternotomy
  • Complete procedure and product offering for the performance of robotic-assisted coronary revascularization
  • Defined Clincial Pathway: Robotic IMA takedown - SVST - MVST - da Vinci Revascularization (dVR)
The da Vinci Surgical System can be employed with adjunctive mediastinotomy to perform coronary anastomosis during cardiac revascularization. Warning: Performance characteristics for conduct of totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) have not been fully established. The system should only be used for CABG when there is direct surgical access to the surgical field. Performance of autologous venous coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) and for beating heart procedures using the da Vinci Surgical System have not been established.
