The Carpentier™ Cannula has a unique two-stage design which more efficiently drains the heart by meeting the 3:1 IVC/SVC drainage requirements. By simultaneously draining the IVC and SVC, superior flow rates are obtained.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- Ideal for use during mitral valve, ASD, and small incision heart cases. Eliminates the need for 2 cannulae--one in the IVC and one in the SVC--which occopy a large portion of a very limited space.
- Improves visibility (fewer cannulae in incision site)
- When positioned correctly, unique two-stage design enables you to isolate the right atrium by snaring the IVC and SVC
- Ultra thin-walled wirewound design provides superior flow rates, flexibility and kink-resistance
- Removable introducer with tapered tip facilitates insertion over a .038 inch guidewire percutaneously or under direct visualization
- Incremental depth markings at 30, 40, 50 and 60 cm aid in positioning
- Conveniently packaged with a 180 cm .038 inch guidewire
