AUTOLOGOUS PLATELET SEPARATOR SYSTEM

The Magellan^® Autologous Platelet Separator System, a one source biologic concentrator and delivery system, collects and concentrates a patient’s own platelets. An efficient, easy to use system, the Magellan^® technology allows you to combine the power of the body’s own mechanisms with the advancements in tissue repair.

INDICATIONS FOR THE MAGELLAN^® AUTOLOGOUS PLATELET SEPARATOR SYSTEM

• Designed to be used in the clinical laboratory or intraoperatively at the point-of-care for the safe and rapid preparation of platelet poor plasma and platelet concentrate (platelet-rich plasma) from a small sample of blood.
• PRP can be mixed with autograft and/or allograft bone prior to application to an orthopedic site as deemed necessary by the clinical use requirements.
• Platelet-poor plasma and PRP can be made from a mixture of blood and bone marrow.

INDICATIONS FOR THE MAGELLAN® DISPENSERS

• Designed to assist the user in simultaneous delivery of two non-homogenous liquids to the same treatment area(s).
• Intended for the application of fluids, as deemed necessary by the surgeon’s determination of the clinical use requirements, to facilitate the preparation of soft tissue prior to repair.
