Highlights from the STS 51st Annual Meeting

STS 51st Annual Meeting attendees are looking forward to exciting talks today by two distinguished lecturers, as well as the 2015 awards presentation. The Ethics Debate will tackle an important topic—whether surgeons in training programs should allow residents to operate on their patients to satisfy board requirements—and 17 educational sessions will be offered in the afternoon.

Whether you are with the Society in San Diego or could not make this year’s Annual Meeting, you can peruse the Tuesday/Wednesday edition of The STS Meeting Bulletin, now available online. The Society’s official meeting newspaper covers highlights such as:

  • Recap of STS President David A. Fullerton’s Presidential Address, given yesterday morning
  • Information on today’s Thomas B. Ferguson and C. Walton Lillehei Lectures, featuring AATS President Pedro J. del Nido, MD and ACC President Patrick T. O’Gara, MD
  • A feature on the Society’s 2015-2016 President Mark S. Allen, MD, who was elected last night by the STS membership
  • The recipient of the Society’s Distinguished Service Award for 2015
  • And much more!

Don’t forget: STS 51st Annual Meeting Online and STS/AATS Tech-Con 2015 Online are now available for purchase at 50% off post-meeting pricing. Prices double after tomorrow, January 28.
