Paris, September 4th, 2007 Péters Surgical announces FDA Approval (510k) for Uniring® Uniring® is the first Universal Annuloplasty System for reparation of mitral as well as tricuspid valves. Uniring® is a unique concept created by William Northrup III, M.D. and developped by Péters Surgical. Uniring® combines flexible and rigid elements that melt into the tissue annulus with a low profile, providing overall annular flexibility. It can be customized for partial or complete circumferential coverage of the mitral or tricuspid annulus. Uniring® can accommodate valves of any size with any pathological condition and can be implanted conventionally or endoscopically.
