This large series reviews the spectrum of disease in the pediatric population. There is a good discussion of operative techniques for subvalvular, valvular, and supravalvular stenosis.

The nice operative photos provide detail for the discussion on valvuloplasty. The authors suggest using autografts for valvuloplasty failure.

Douville EC, Sade RM, Crawford FA Jr, Wiles HB. Subvalvar aortic stenosis: timing of operation. Annals of Thoracic Surgery 1990;50:29-34.

This series of patients covers the spectrum of subvalvular aortic stenosis and various operative procedures are utilized. The authors recommend prompt operation at the time of diagnosis.

An extensive series from Texas which demonstrates the evolution of operative technique for supravalvular lesions. Excellent diagrams provide visualization for the various approaches.
