General Instructions
The following requirements apply regardless of the multimedia type you are submitting
- Your material must contain no specific patient information and be HIPPA compliant. For example, patient name or hospital identification number should not appear on radiographs, slides, or film contained in a video.
- For each copyrighted item (artist illustrations, images from books, cartoons, etc.) you must obtain written permission for republication. Educational use laws do not apply to republication of materials on the internet.
- The author(s) must submit a written Conditions for Publication form granting CTSNet permission to place their content on the CTSNet internet site.
- The following information should be included:
Author(s) name
Title of submission
Contact information, phone and email - Videos submitted to CTSNet should not be longer than 10 minutes, and must be accompanied by voice narration.
Accepted Content Types
The preferred submission material for the accepted content types is outlined below. If you have content in a format other than what is listed contact the CTSNet Editorial Office regarding submission.
Video
Video is not an appropriate format for slideshows without embeded video content. Video should be used for content such as surgical procedures. Flash Video (.flv) is the preferred video format. Videos submitted to CTSNet must be created in accordance with the instructions in this document.
Video Submissions
CTSNet can accept video submissions in a variety of different formats.
Preferred
- Flash Video (.flv)
- MPEG or AVI video format
Also Accepted
- DVD video format (DVD-R only, not DVD-RW)
- Windows Media format
- Quicktime Movie format
Not Accepted
- RealVideo format
- VHS or Mini-DV tape
Once received, your video will be converted into Flash Video format for presentation on CTSNet.
