The Ross Summit III–2010

Ross Summit III–2010 Objectives

  1. Examine updated survival and quality of life data for the Ross procedure compared to other aortic valve operations.
  2. Examine indications for and against the Ross procedure.
  3. Identify reasons for long-term structural and functional success or failure of the Ross procedure.
  4. Compare the morphology, physiology, hemodynamics, bio-mechanics, and long term function of the pulmonary root in the arterial switch and Ross procedure.
  5. Examine diagnostic criteria and surgical strategies to salvage a failing pulmonary autograft.
  6. Examine strategies to restore the Ross procedure to the surgical ?menu? of aortic valve operations, including mentoring methodology for the next generation Ross surgeon.
