Medtronic's Profile 3D™The Profile 3D™ ring is a fully rigid remodeling ring with a physiologic mitral valve shape and can be used to treat functional mitral valve diseases, such as ischemic mitral regurgitation and dilated cardiomyopathy.

Profile 3D™ Annuloplasty System
Indications: This device is indicated for the reconstruction and/or remodeling of pathological mitral valves. Valvular insufficiency and/or stenosis may be corrected by appropriate repair and annular remodeling.

Contraindications: Heavily calcified valves, valvular retraction with severely reduced mobility, active bacterial endocarditis.

Warnings/Precautions/Adverse Events: Only physicians who have received proper training in valve repair should use this device. Adverse events can include: thromboembolic events, dehiscence, hemolysis, stenosis, residual incompetence, heart block, endocarditis, systolic anterior motion, left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, anticoagulant-related bleeding or hemorrhage.

We are excited to bring to you a newly developed EDGE course:

  • EDGE Advanced Endosurgical Training for Cardiac Surgery Teams

Advanced Endosurgical Training for Cardiac Surgery Teams Course

The course is designed for both cardiac surgeons and their surgical team members to include perfusionists, scrub techs, PAs and other OR personnel. The surgeons will participate in hands-on training via advanced simulation as well as procedural complication management and advanced endosurgical device study.

The surgery team member will be participating in a simultaneous track on the basics of endosurgery. The two tracks will then be brought together near the end of the course to work as a team on simulation.

*** This course is specifically designed for the cardiac surgeon who has completed the EDGE Basic Guidewire, Catheter and Imaging Skills Course or has significant experience in endosurgical procedures as the primary operator.
