PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Aortic Models: Sizes: 19 – 31 mm
  • Mitral Models: Sizes: 19 – 33 mm

Bicarbon Mechanical Heart Valves design features (clinically proven since 1990):

  1. Curved pyrolytic carbon leaflets are intended to achieve a downstream laminar flow.
  2. The aerofoil housing profile is designed to minimize turbulence and blood stasis near the annulus of the patient.
  3. The titanium alloy housing provides optimum rigidity and safety with reduced thickness of the radial section and offers a larger geometric orifice area.
  4. The exclusive hinge mechanism is intended to minimize friction between the pivot and the housing recess.
  5. Two effluent channels in the hinge area are designed to allow blood washing even when the valve is closed.
  6. CarbofilmTM coating on the housing and sewing ring improved haemocompatibility and reduces tissue overgrowth.
