The Toronto SPV® valve was developed
in conjunction with Dr. Tirone David of
Toronto General Hospital and was
introduced in 1991. The unique, stentless porcine
design enhances hemodynamics by providing up to
31% more orifice area than stented bioprostheses.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- Achieves transvanular gradients comparable to native valves.
- Subcoronary design takes full advantage of the ability of the aorta to dissipate stress generated by the cardiac cycle.
- Offers potentially improved durability versus stented valves.
