In an interview with CTSNet Allied Health Editor Jill Ley, Cristina Ruiz Segria and Richard van Valen introduce the EACTS Nurses and Allied Health Professionals Fellowship in partnership with AtriCure.
The fellowship allows nurses and allied health professionals to earn a €5,200 grant and visit a cardiothoracic center in Europe. During this time, fellows can explore advanced practice roles that may not be available in their home countries such as TAVI nurse, nurse practitioner for cardiac thoracic surgery and aortic diseases, surgical care practitioner, advanced pharmacist, or transplant coordinator.
