Navia JL, Elgharably H. Double Replacement With Reconstruction of the Aortomitral Fibrous Body for Invasive Valvular Endocarditis "Commando Procedure". April 2019. doi:10.25373/ctsnet.7949123.

This video demonstrates the technique of the "Commando procedure." Reconstruction of the aortomitral fibrous body for invasive double valve endocarditis is a technically challenging operation. It includes aortic valve or root replacement and mitral valve replacement, along with reconstruction of the aortomitral fibrous body.

Nice presentation, i have done this once. I t follows from the superior transeptal approach to the mitral valve. Many suture lines, long clamp times, and a long night for everybody involved....great job....
Great video. I usually run the mitral sewing cuff to the bovine pericardial patch with a running prolene. Helps speed things up.
