At the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, Dr. John D. Puskas, professor of surgery at Emory University, Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Emory University Hospital Midtown, and Wilton Looney Director at the Emory Carlyle Fraser Heart Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, delivered a presentation titled “Hybrid Coronary Revascularization Trial 2.0.”
In his presentation, he provided an overview of hybrid coronary revascularization (HCR) and discussed a hybrid observation study along with findings from a randomized trial comparing HCR with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Dr. Puskas also explored outcomes of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) hybrid trial, articulated the goals of Hybrid Trial 2.0, and detailed the various elements involved in this new trial.
