At the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, Dr. Danny Ramzy, professor and chief of cardiac surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, delivered a presentation titled “Robotic Myectomy: Transaortic Approach.”
During his presentation, he shared surgical footage and provided insights into the patient’s preoperative history, the incision technique for the working port, and the creation of a pericardial window, along with details on cross-clamping and cardioplegia. Additionally, he covered aortotomy closure, the postoperative echocardiogram, and the overall postoperative course of the patient.
