The Fredric G. Levin Lung Cancer Symposium--CANCELED
The dynamics of lung cancer treatment are changing as our understanding of the unique biology of the disease improves. Despite the establishment of evidence-based guidelines, significant variation exists in the management of lung nodules. A recent study demonstrated that up to 44.7% of patients received care inconsistent with guidelines, resulting in both over-evaluation and under-evaluation. Our course will outline the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s (NCCN) accepted guidelines, and highlight updates to staging, treatment and indications for neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy. In addition to providing vital updates in perioperative care, the course will also offer general topical lectures regarding the role of immunotherapy in treating lung cancer patients, and will supplement didactic material with hands-on sessions to support and improve attendees’ technical skills.
