Dr Vanermen is widely respected as a pioneer in Endoscopic cardiac surgery having started his experience in 1996 and running the OLV College which was for ten years the premier learning event for surgeons and teams across the world. He has successfully trained many surgeons who have developed successful endoscopic cardiac surgery units around the world. We hope to use this session to understand his insights into what young surgeons need to know to make the paradigm shift from sternotomy to an endoscopic approach.
