STS Annual Meeting Online Is Available

You can now access presentations from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons recent annual meeting from the convenience of your home or office. STS Annual Meeting Online is a digital product that offers more than 90 hours of educational sessions and the ability to earn up to 89.25 continuing medical education credits.

Annual Meeting Online features state-of-the-art scientific and educational sessions revealing the latest discoveries and techniques, as well as insightful debates, 20 “Ask the Experts” sessions, and powerful lectures that illuminate—and provide practical solutions for—the challenges affecting the cardiothoracic surgery community. A moving Presidential Address from Joseph A. Dearani, MD, which includes a call for the specialty to continue to be a voice for all patients in the face of a global pandemic, social injustice, political divide, and natural disaster, is available only through Annual Meeting Online.

Other highlights are a library of 31 surgical videos, collaborative sessions with five international societies, and presentations of late-breaking research on topics such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and COVID-19. Additionally, the product showcases moderated presentations of the top-scoring abstracts for each cardiothoracic surgical discipline and topics in critical care and mechanical circulatory support.

STS 2021 attendees have complimentary access to Annual Meeting Online and can locate it within their accounts at the online STS Learning Center. The product also is free for STS Candidate and Pre-Candidate members. Those who were unable to attend STS 2021 can purchase Annual Meeting Online now.

In addition to Annual Meeting Online, the Immersive Video Experiences series is available on its own or as part of a special bundled purchase at a significant discount for STS members. Immersive Video Experiences features five comprehensive “In the OR with…” sessions that provide stunning 360º views of the operating room as luminary surgeons perform challenging and novel procedures, as well as 11 “Deep Dive into…” sessions in which surgeons and moderators discuss their rationales for surgical approaches and critical in-operation decision making. Up to 20 additional continuing medical education credits or a certificate of participation may be earned with this series.
