Comprehensive Care for the Lifetime Treatment of Adult Congenital Heart Disease: A Case-Based Approach [1]
Adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) are a rapidly growing and frequently underserved population resulting in new challenges for practitioners who often have knowledge and practice gaps regarding the optimal management strategies for these patients.
The goal of this educational activity is to update participants on clinical and research advances in the morphologies of congenital anomalies, the best diagnostic modalities and interventions, and the most appropriate management strategies. By providing this information in an evidence-based manner, presenters will address the existing knowledge, competence, and practice gaps of participants, which have the potential to improve clinical outcomes in this patient population.
This course is intended for cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, physician assistants, social workers and all health care professionals involved in the evaluation, diagnosis and/or management of patients with adult congenital heart disease.
