Dr Tirone E David, MD, is Professor and Head of Division of Cardiovascular Surgery at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada and Past President of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. Amongst his several pivotal contributions to the advancement of Cardiovascular surgery, Dr David has pioneered the Valve Sparing Aortic Root Replacement Procedure with Re-implantation of the native aortic valve, known as the 'David Procedure'.
