BACKGROUND
Cardiothoracic surgeon at the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen (EsSalud), Lima, Peru. He completed his thoracic surgery residency at the same institution and holds a Master’s degree in Teaching and Health Research. He has advanced training in robotic thoracic surgery and formal training in biostatistics, with active involvement in multidisciplinary thoracic oncology and lung transplant teams.
OTHER INTERESTS
Medical education, clinical research methodology, biostatistics applied to surgical oncology, and academic collaboration within international thoracic surgery and lung cancer research networks.
RESEARCH
Thoracic oncology, with a focus on surgical outcomes and prognostic factors in resectable non-small cell lung cancer. Additional interests include mediastinal staging, airway surgery, postoperative complications, and minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery.
