He discusses Dr. Frank Hastings, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) bridge-to-recovery, the natural history of heart failure, and permanent mechanical circulatory support (MCS) vs transplantation. He also addresses LVAD destination therapy vs extended criteria cardiac transplant, strategies for expanding long-term durable implantable MCS therapy, pulsatility and ventricular assist devices (VADs), and heart replacement therapy in young patients, and much more.
