Interview with Dr. Harvey W. Bender

In this oral history interview, William Stoney talks with Harvey W. Bender, a past president of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bender shares that his path to cardiothoracic surgery was a fortuitous one, as he originally planned to be a veterinarian. Dr. Bender discusses his long career and his collaborations with other pioneering cardiothoracic surgeons.
