A 71-year-old male patient was admitted to the clinic with back pain, claudication, colic pain, and mild dyspnea. He had a past medical history of hypertension, abdominal aortic aneurysm, and umbilical hernia. He underwent umbilical hernia surgery 15 years ago; however, the hernia reoccurred, resulting in chronic colic abdominal pain. He had also undergone an endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) procedure in 2019, but an endoleak occurred, prompting two more failed endovascular procedures to prevent the endoleak until 2023. After examining the CT angiography, the surgeons decided to perform an open surgical repair of the aneurysm due to the presence of a 14 cm aneurysm and the inability of endovascular procedures to prevent the endoleak. Furthermore, the patient needed a concomitant umbilical hernia repair surgery. The surgeons recorded every step of the surgery and created this instructive video.
