BACKGROUND
Dr. Adriana Hette is a Research Fellow in Robotic Cardiac Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Presbyterian Hospital, working under the mentorship of Dr. Johannes Bonatti. She earned her medical degree from Centro Universitário das Américas (Brazil) and previously practiced emergency medicine before pursuing an academic career in cardiothoracic surgery.
Her research focuses on robotic and minimally invasive cardiac surgery, aortic surgery, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. She has participated in clinical research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, and is committed to advancing evidence-based surgical care through collaborative research and scientific publication.
