I am a fellow in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with career interests in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, clinical and translational research, and biomedical engineering. I graduated from the General Surgery residency training program at the New York-Presbyterian – Columbia University Irving Medical Center. During my academic development years, I spent two years as NIH T-32 fellow researching structural valve degeneration in bioprosthetic heart valves in Dr. Ferrari’s laboratory in the Cardiothoracic Research Program at Columbia University and graduated with a master’s degree in Biostatistics from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a focus on clinical research methods, randomized control trials, and applied bioinformatics.
