BACKGROUND
I have been a pediatric cardiologist and cardiac intensivist since 1988, having worked at Children’s Hospital Boston, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and Children’s National Hospital. I retired from clinical practice in 2025 and remain active in teaching and research.
OTHER INTERESTS
Co-Leader of The Baby Blue Sound Collective – a musical group of Pediatric Cardiac Surgeons and Pediatric Cardiologists.
RESEARCH
My research has focused on improving cardiac output and minimizing short term morbidity in the cardiac ICU, as well as the neurodevelopmental consequences of complex congenital heart disease
