Pediatric and Congenital Heart SurgeryECMO and VAD

Supervision of fellows, veterinary technicians and rotation students during cardiac surgeries. Development of research projects, databases, and manuscript dissemination. Under a current Institutional License with Medical Staff Privileges at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, I operate the Ex-Vivo Lung Perfusion Program and provide instruction to residents and fellows who participate and assist me in organ procurement and other clinical activities.
Surgical and Critical Care Lecturer: Didactic and hands-on training of surgical approach and decision making in ECMO and Cardiopulmonary bypass for surgical trainees and critical care fellows at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. 
Collaborator: The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Cardiac Center Grant: “A novel approach to intraoperative measurement of cerebral metabolic activity during cooling and rewarming periods associated with deep hypothermic circulatory arrest and post-operative neurological injury following neonatal cardiac surgery”. Surgical Educational Adviser: Integrated cardiothoracic surgical residency (I6) Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Overseeing planning and execution of a variety of didactic topics throughout the Cardiothoracic Surgical curriculum.
