Mohamed Ahmed Gabr, MSc., MD, PhD

Dr. Mohamed A. Gabr is a Consultant Adult Cardiac Surgeon and Clinical Lecturer of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center (CVSC), Mansoura University, Egypt.
His practice focuses on minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS), complex aortic surgery, valve repair, and Ozaki aortic valve reconstruction, cardiac tumors surgery with a particular interest in developing reproducible surgical techniques that can be safely adopted by cardiac surgeons worldwide.

Driven by a passion for innovation and education, Dr. Gabr is actively involved in clinical research, surgical training, and the advancement of MICS in emerging healthcare systems. He has established one of Egypt’s pioneering trans-axillary MICS programs and continues to promote evidence-based practice through scientific collaboration and international partnerships.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Gabr is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of cardiac surgeons and sharing advanced surgical skills with colleagues across Africa and the Middle East through hands-on training, workshops, and collaborative initiatives. He strongly believes that sustainable improvements in cardiac care are achieved by empowering local surgical teams rather than providing temporary solutions.

His humanitarian work includes participating in international charitable cardiac surgery missions, delivering complex cardiac procedures while helping develop local surgical capacity in underserved regions. Through education, innovation, and service.
