Penny Sehas
BACKGROUND
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English, with training in writing, literary analysis, and organization of complex texts. I also hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, which informs my attention to ethics, meaning-making, and the careful handling of personal narrative in professional contexts.
OTHER INTERESTS
My interests are informed by my background in therapeutic work and teaching, particularly an emphasis on ethical storytelling, respect for lived experience, and careful attention to how narrative choices impact readers.
RESEARCH
My areas of inquiry focus on narrative structure, organization, readability, and ethical storytelling across memoir and reflective nonfiction, as well as essays and research-based writing. I am particularly interested in how careful editing supports coherence, preserves voice, and strengthens clarity and integrity in both personal narratives and professional texts.
