Vusal Vahid Haciyev, Dr.med.

Dr. Vusal Hajiyev is a cardiac surgeon with advanced clinical training in coronary surgery, mechanical circulatory support, and the surgical management of advanced heart failure. His professional focus includes complex coronary artery bypass grafting, off-pump coronary surgery (OPCAB), hybrid coronary revascularization strategies, and perioperative management of high-risk cardiac surgical patients.

He has extensive experience in extracorporeal life support technologies, particularly veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO), including the management of postcardiotomy cardiogenic shock and ECMO-supported recovery pathways.

Dr. Hajiyev is actively involved in clinical research related to ECMO outcomes, advanced heart failure surgery, and myocardial recovery strategies. His academic work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented at major cardiothoracic meetings.
