I am a thoracic surgeon at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. I have a specific interest in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery. I am fully trained on the Intuitive Surgical daVinci Xi robotic platform, and I have received extensive training in robotic thoracic procedures during the course of my fellowship, including robotic wedge resection/segmentectomy/lobectomy, thymectomy, diaphragmatic plication, and first rib resection. I also have experience with VATS wedge resections and lobectomies, as well as minimally invasive foregut and esophageal surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic paraesophageal hernia repairs and laparoscopic/VATS and robotic minimally invasive esophagectomy via the Ivor-Lewis technique. Additionally, I have received training in thoracic surgical endoscopy, including flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, EBUS, endobronchial stenting, esophageal stenting, and use of the Spiration and Zephyr endobronchial valve systems for management of prolonged air leaks and advanced emphysema. Lastly, I love to teach and I am looking forward to working with the surgical residents at Baystate Medical Center this year!
