Jad Malas is currently a PGY-2 Integrated Thoracic Surgery resident and NIH T32-sponsored post-doctoral research fellow in cardiac surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. His research is focused on comparative outcomes and disparities using large healthcare datasets in adult cardiothoracic surgery, with a special interest in transplantation and structural valve disease. He hopes to pursue an academic career in cardiac surgery, with a focus on heart and lung transplantation as well as mechanical circulatory support.
