Friday, March 1, 2024

At the 2024 STS Annual Meeting, CTSNet Editor in Chief Joel Dunning and CTSNet senior editors set out to interview the most knowledgeable CT surgeons from around the world. Stay tuned for more interviews from the meeting.

CTSNet Editor in Chief Joel Dunning spoke with Dr. Patrick Myers, CTSNet President and EACTS Secretary General, about the EACTS and STS joint session on cardiac trials that surgeons need to know about. In this session, Dr. Myers presented data from a new trial revealing the importance of working with cardiologists to treat atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing mitral valve surgery, a comorbidity that is often overlooked.
