Francis Wells of Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, United Kingdom, gives an in-depth talk on the anatomy of the mitral valve and the importance of mitral clefts. Mr. Wells reviews the development of the mitral valve and its saddle shape. He also discusses the treatment of SAM and calcium, and the use of annuloplasty rings.
