Subsequent transthoracic echocardiography confirmed a double aortic with complete vascular ring with a dominant right arch, smaller anterior left and a Kommerell’s diverticulum connected to a ductal remnant. On echo a common arterial trunk type A1-A2 (Van Praagh) associated with a patent foramen ovale with near confluent pulmonary arteries was diagnosed. The patient was referred for complete repair.
