Induction chemoradiotherapy is a relative contraindication to VATS lobectomy due to oncological concerns. This video demonstrates a VATS lower lobectomy and radical systematic lymphadenectomy in a 53-year-old male who recurred locally following induction chemoradiotherapy.

Twenty years ago, Dr. William Walker performed a left upper lobectomy using a 3-port approach standing in the posterior position. Prior VATS lobectomy is a relative contraindication to ipsilateral repeat VATS lobectomy due to possible technical difficulties arising from adhesions and scarring, especially at the hilum. This video describes a VATS middle lobectomy in a 63 years old ex-smoker who had a previous VATS right lower lobectomy and pulmonary tuberculosis of the right upper lobe.
