Mr. Smith is the Chairman of Examiners for the UK and Ireland Joint Surgical Colleges Fellowship Examinations’ (JSCFE) cardiothoracic surgery specialty, and former Chairman of Examiners for FRCS. The new examination will grant successful international candidates the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. I would definitely want to take this exam. The only issue is thoracic portion which is overwhelming for a surgeon like me who exclusively practices cardiac surgery.
Hope they are able to separate tracts.

Yes indeed. I have completed my MRCS 10 years ago and hoping to go for the FRCS. I agree with Dr. Ali, seperate tracts would acheive much fairer results.

I cleared MEBCTS and part 1 of FRCSi CTS in exam held in November 2018, but part 2 has been held up due to COVID for nearly 2 years now. I was hoping at least a supervised scope special permit to work in UK could be arranged until the part 2 exam is conducted. It would be nice if it could be conveyed to the decision makers.
