CTSNet Congenital Editor Prof. Sameh Said spoke with Dr. Ahmad Ali Amirghofran about his pioneering method for valve construction from the right atrial appendage, demonstrated in “How to Make a Valve for the RVOT from the Right Atrial Appendage.” Dr. Amirghofran, the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Shiraz, Iran, presented the results of his recent study on this method at the 2023 EACTS Annual Meeting.
The pair also discuss Dr. Amirghofran’s upcoming videos to soon be published on CTSNet demonstrating the same method used for repair of different pathologies.
